About

THE HARMONY PHARMACY

The Harmony Pharmacy was born from the principle that Nature is
all-encompassing, yet she still offers us space to encounter our own distinctive natures. This principle provides me with a firm foundation upon which I collaborate, engage, and design. I am drawn to the whimsical, restorative, underexplored intersections of art and the living world.

My work is designed to inspire and uplift, using a variety of mediums to create transformative experiences for the audience. The artistic output is an organic, artful process of co-creating with the community using mindfulness, meditation, and music appreciation to cultivate wellness and offer diverse perspectives.

All offerings grow from  my child-like imagination, a fascination for antidotes found in nature, the practice of using traditional technologies, and a love affair with sound.

VAUNITA GOODMAN

Biography

Vaunita Goodman is a Multi-disciplinary Artist and Educator. Her work has been featured at The Library of Congress, The Baltimore Museum of Art, The Baltimore Kissa Society, and Liberty Hall in Kingston, Jamaica. Her formative years were spent in constant migration between Europe and the United States, which sparked her interest in arts and culture at an early age, developing her unique love for the imagery and stories she found within the covers of vinyl records which served as her first storybooks.

Her latest artistic endeavors have focused on educating, exhibiting, and arranging programming that celebrates the vast culture of vinyl recordings. She has been awarded contracts to teach Interdisciplinary Art classes at the Baltimore School For The Arts and Enoch Pratt Free Library in their youth program divisions.  In 2018, her work revolving around vinyl recordings as living artifacts caught the attention of The Vinyl Conference In Detroit, Michigan. And in 2020, she was featured In Furnace Pressings' Women In Vinyl Blog for her cultural contributions to music preservation.

She is the founder of The Harmony Pharmacy, an artists collective dedicated to mindfulness, meditation, and music appreciation.
